Max Verstappen intends to complete his Formula 1 contract with Red Bull, according to his manager Raymond Vermeulen, who moved to reduce speculation about the four-time world champion’s future. The Dutch driver remains formally linked to the team until the end of 2028.
Vermeulen acknowledged that the agreement includes performance-related exit clauses, but emphasized that their existence does not mean Verstappen plans to activate them. The priority remains improving Red Bull’s competitiveness under the current technical regulations.
Recent reliability problems and inconsistent performance have intensified questions about the driver’s future. Verstappen, however, continues working with the team’s engineers while avoiding an unconditional public commitment beyond the terms of his contract.
For now, his manager’s message favors continuity. Red Bull must nevertheless demonstrate that it can provide Verstappen with a car capable of competing consistently for victories and championships.
