Thanks to the mediation of Mayor Antonio Menéndez De Llano Bermúdez and his commitment to safeguarding the rights of consumers in Ahome, a collaboration agreement was signed between the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (PROFECO) and the Municipality of Ahome.

Through this agreement, the activation of the PROFECO Ahome service office in Los Mochis was finalized as of December 15 of this year.

The office allows consumers and suppliers to assert their rights without having to travel to the state capital, thereby positioning the Municipality of Ahome as one of the most important and fastest-growing economic hubs in northern Sinaloa.

The consumer service office is located at 240 Marcial Ordóñez Street, between Guillermo Prieto and Zaragoza streets, in the Municipal Administrative Building, ground floor. Available telephone numbers are 668-818-6472 and 668-177-2405. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

On behalf of PROFECO, the agreement was signed by Israel Alcaraz Hernández, Director of the Pacific Zone Consumer Defense Office (ODECO), who stated that this collaboration streamlines and facilitates procedures for consumers in the Municipality of Ahome. The agreement also grants advisory authority and conciliation capabilities in favor of consumers, who are encouraged to assert and defend their rights.
