KANSAS CITY, United States — August 2026. Travis Kelce has publicly addressed his wedding to Taylor Swift for the first time, describing the celebration as an unforgettable moment in his life.
Speaking during the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp, the NFL tight end called the event “crazy” and filled with celebration, while expressing gratitude to everyone who helped make it possible.
Kelce and Swift married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, transforming one of the world’s most famous entertainment venues into a private garden-inspired setting.
The athlete said holding the ceremony at the arena fulfilled a childhood dream. He thanked the venue’s owners and staff for accommodating the wedding and protecting the couple’s privacy.
Approximately 1,000 guests reportedly attended the celebration, including relatives, friends, musicians, Hollywood figures, NFL players and members of the Chiefs organization.
Actor and comedian Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. Among the reported guests were Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Emma Stone, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Tom Brady and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.
The climate-controlled venue also provided relief from the intense heat affecting New York at the time, allowing the couple to create an elaborate indoor environment without sacrificing comfort or security.
Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023 after the football player publicly expressed his interest in meeting the singer. Their relationship quickly became one of the most closely followed intersections between music, sports and popular culture.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2025. Their appearances together subsequently continued to draw global attention, although they maintained strict privacy around the wedding preparations.
Swift has not yet spoken publicly in detail about the ceremony. Kelce, meanwhile, has returned his attention to football as the Chiefs prepare for the new NFL season.
