Formula One driver Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux are preparing to become parents after confirming that they are expecting their first child.
The announcement came through a photograph published on Saint Mleux’s Instagram account. In the image, she appears reclining on a white sofa aboard a yacht while wearing a green two-piece outfit that reveals her growing baby bump.
Instead of accompanying the photograph with a written announcement, she used a series of ladybug emojis. The understated post quickly attracted messages of celebration from followers of the couple and the international Formula One community.
The confirmation followed weeks of speculation after Saint Mleux appeared at public events wearing outfits that seemed to reveal her pregnancy. Until now, however, neither she nor Leclerc had addressed the reports directly.
Leclerc and Saint Mleux began their relationship in 2023 and made one of their earliest prominent public appearances together at Wimbledon. She subsequently became a familiar presence in the Formula One paddock, frequently supporting the Monegasque driver during race weekends.
The couple announced their engagement in November 2025 through a series of photographs featuring their dachshund, Leo. Leclerc incorporated the dog into the proposal with a tag bearing the message that “Dad” wanted to marry her, while another detail revealed that “Mom” had accepted.
They married on February 28, 2026, in a private civil ceremony in Monaco attended by close relatives and friends. Images released afterward showed the newlyweds exchanging vows, posing with Leo and travelling through the principality in a vintage Ferrari.
Leclerc later described the ceremony as small and secret, explaining that the couple intended to organize a larger celebration in the future. Their marriage took place shortly before the beginning of another demanding Formula One season with Ferrari.
Saint Mleux has developed her own international profile through fashion, social media and her interest in art history. Her elegant appearances at races and cultural events have made her one of the most visible figures associated with the current Formula One paddock.
For Leclerc, the announcement introduces a deeply personal milestone alongside the pressures of competing for one of motorsport’s most closely watched teams. Neither parent has disclosed the baby’s sex or expected delivery date.
