Buenos Aires, August 2025 – In a bold reimagining of theatrical form, choreographer and playwright Ivana Müller will stage We Are Still Watching at Arthaus Central from September 9 to 14. The production defies conventional roles: every spectator speaks in the first person and becomes integral to the unfolding narrative, though no one has read the text or knows what to expect. Audience and performance merge in a single, living organism—ever-changing, reflecting its participants.
This work is a collective creation, shaped by Müller in collaboration with choreographer Andrea Bozic, director David Weber-Krebs, and playwright Jonas Rutgeerts. Each night creates a new ephemeral community that gives life to the piece through collective participation. What unfolds onstage is not a fixed script but an ever-mutating drama shaped by the actors—who are the audience themselves—own impulses and interactions.

Presented by Paraíso Club, an independent performing arts collective operating in Buenos Aires, the production marks its second international launch this year. Paraíso Club invites members to participate in progressive and transformative art experiences—each month offering new performances, workshops, post-show discussions, and social events that cultivate creative dialogue. Müller’s work is rooted in a decade-long exploration of the politics of spectacle, performer-spectator dynamics, the value of imagination, and the very nature of participation. Her productions—ranging from performances to installations, text-based works, video lectures and guided experiences—have appeared in festivals and venues across Europe, the United States, and Asia, even crossing into visual arts spaces like the Venice Biennale.
Her work philosophically interrogates what it means to witness, to perform, and to share authorship of a theatrical instant. In We Are Still Watching, the audience’s attention, hesitation, laughter, memory and voice become the performance itself. It is an open invitation to reconsider not only the role of theater, but the possibilities of a shared moment of creation.
