Physical connection and shared values sustain their relationship.
LOS ANGELES, UNITED STATES — July 2026. Heidi Klum has spoken openly about the role physical intimacy plays in maintaining her marriage to Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz. The 53-year-old model jokingly described sex as frequent “exercise without machines” during an interview with Us Weekly. She said the connection strengthens both the physical and emotional dimensions of their relationship.
Klum explained that intimacy allows hearts and souls to connect in a different way, but emphasized that attraction is only one part of their bond. The couple’s shared German background and similar moral values have also created a strong mutual understanding. She dismissed concerns surrounding their 17-year age difference and joked that the 36-year-old musician is “aging well.”
The pair met at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont and married in 2019. Klum said she immediately experienced a feeling of home with Kaulitz and continues to feel cared for, loved and appreciated. Their everyday life includes spending time together in Los Angeles and walking their dogs along the city’s trails.
They also make an effort to support each other professionally despite demanding schedules. Klum plans to accompany Kaulitz during Tokio Hotel’s November tour, while he regularly visits her television sets and watches her work. She described that mutual presence as an important part of keeping their relationship close.
