A limited claim unlocks permanent access.
Cary, July 2026
Epic Games Store has launched a new limited promotion allowing PC users to obtain Nova Lands without paying and retain it permanently in their digital libraries. The title can be claimed until July 16, when the platform will replace the current selection with another weekly offer. Players do not need to download or complete the game before the deadline. Adding it to an Epic account during the promotion is enough to preserve access after its regular price returns.
Nova Lands is a crafting and automation game built around exploration, resource management and technological expansion on an alien planet. Players begin with limited tools and gradually construct increasingly efficient production systems. The central challenge involves collecting materials, transforming them into useful components and creating automated chains capable of sustaining further development. Its structure appeals particularly to audiences interested in planning, optimization and continuous progression.

The experience combines accessible visual design with systems that become more complex as the player advances. Manual tasks performed during the opening stages can later be delegated to machines, allowing attention to shift toward larger industrial networks and new territories. Expansion is therefore not limited to constructing more buildings, but also requires organizing energy, transportation and production capacity. Each improvement reduces repetitive work while introducing new decisions about efficiency.
Epic Games has also included Tattoo Tycoon in the same weekly rotation. This management simulator places the player in charge of a tattoo studio, where artistic identity must coexist with financial sustainability. Users can develop the business, organize the premises and respond to customers with different preferences. The title turns a creative profession into a broader exercise in reputation, service quality and commercial strategy.

Both games remain available at no cost from July 9 through July 16. Once claimed, they become part of the user’s permanent Epic Games library and can be installed later on a compatible computer. The promotion does not operate like a temporary trial or subscription catalogue that removes access when the campaign ends. The deadline applies only to the act of claiming the titles.
The acquisition process requires an Epic Games account and access to the store’s free-games section. The user selects the title, completes the purchase process with the price reduced to zero and confirms that it has been added to the library. No immediate installation is necessary, which allows players to secure the offer even when they lack available storage space. System requirements should still be reviewed before downloading either game.
Epic’s recurring giveaways have become one of the company’s most recognizable strategies for attracting and retaining PC users. Instead of relying exclusively on discounts, the platform offers complete games that create a long-term reason to maintain an active account. Every weekly claim expands the customer’s library and makes the store more difficult to abandon. The apparent generosity therefore also functions as a carefully designed mechanism of digital loyalty.
The strategy places pressure on competing platforms because ownership changes user behaviour differently from temporary access. A player who accumulates dozens of titles may return regularly even without making frequent purchases. Developers also receive visibility among audiences who might otherwise overlook smaller or specialized productions. The promotion connects Epic’s need for recurring traffic with studios seeking broader exposure.

Free distribution does not mean that the games lack commercial value. Epic normally reaches agreements with publishers or developers so that the platform absorbs the promotional cost while users receive the product without payment. The objective is to convert attention into future activity, including purchases, social engagement and continued use of the launcher. For independent games, a large influx of new players can also renew community discussion and increase recognition.
Nova Lands and Tattoo Tycoon represent two different approaches to simulation. One focuses on constructing an automated world from raw resources, while the other concentrates on developing a creative business through individual customer relationships. Their coexistence broadens the appeal of the weekly campaign without depending on a single genre. Players can secure both titles even when they initially plan to use only one.
The decisive condition is time. Anyone who claims the games before the promotion ends retains them permanently, while those who miss the deadline will face their restored prices. Epic’s weekly model rewards regular attention and transforms a simple calendar rotation into a competitive habit. The offer is temporary, but the digital ownership it grants is designed to last.
