One carefully delivered joke has revived expectations that the reunion could continue into another summer.

Noel Gallagher has suggested that Oasis may return to the stage for additional concerts, telling talkSPORT that the band would have to “do something” during the next summer because no major men’s international football tournament was scheduled. His deliberately ambiguous response immediately intensified speculation about a new tour.
Gallagher initially joked that his brother Liam was no longer interested in Oasis. When presenters mentioned Liam’s temporary departure from social media, Noel replied that something must therefore be happening. The exchange appeared playful, but his refusal to dismiss the rumors was interpreted as the strongest indication yet that further performances are under consideration.
Reports have suggested that Oasis could play an extended residency at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium and return to Knebworth. The band performed two historic concerts there in 1996 before a combined audience of approximately 250,000 people. Concert promoter SJM has secured permission to organize large events at the Hertfordshire venue, but neither the company nor Oasis has confirmed who will perform.
The possibility follows the successful Live ’25 reunion tour, which brought Noel and Liam together after a 16-year separation. The 41-show production visited Europe, North America, South America, Asia and Australia, demonstrating that demand for the band remained enormous despite the long absence and the brothers’ history of conflict.
No official tour dates, venues or ticket arrangements have been announced. Gallagher’s comment should therefore be understood as a hint rather than confirmation. Oasis has repeatedly used humor, contradictory statements and carefully timed ambiguity to manage expectations, ensuring that uncertainty itself remains part of the band’s public narrative.
